Umrah/ Hajj Exhibition: Nigerian pilgrims ‘ll soon smile – Official

The quest to satisfy the religious obligation of Muslims in Nigeria has called for showcasing the best way to simplify the processes for Nigerian pilgrims. This challenge was taken by partnership between Nigerian and Saudi Arabia companies.

A Saudi Arabia company, in collaboration with their Nigerian counterpart are set to make Hajj and Umrah a comfortable experience for pilgrims.

This was disclosed by  the Director of Umrah office in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mr Aziz Abdulaziz Al-Masoudi, who arrived in Abuja Sunday to attend Nigerian Hajj and  Umrah Exhibition (NHAU) billed to take place between 18 and 19 of this month at Abuja Sheraton Hotel.

Al-Masoudi said they are in Nigeria to see how best to make Hajj and Umrah a confortable experience for Nigerians and pilgrims from Africa.

“With this new arrangement between Saudi government and Nigeria, Hajj and Umrah is going to favour any one from Nigeria and other African countries.

“I am very happy for the warm reception the people of Nigeria accorded me. I really appreciate Nigeria and Nigerians for their hospitality,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Chief Executive Officer of Al-Yaro International Company, the organisers of the Nigerian Hajj and Umrah Exhibition,  Alhaji Muhammad Umar Yaro,  said the purpose of the forthcoming exhibition is to make Hajj and Umrah easy for Nigerian pilgrims .

“This exhibition is going to showcase how best to take care of Nigerian pilgrims from the airport to the their hostels and how to meet their other needs while in Saudi for Hajj or Umrah.

 “Through this exhibition, every visitor or pilgrim is going to be satisfied with the services rendered during their pilgrimage to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

“The exhibition is aimed at creating positive synergy and new frontiers between Saudi and Nigeria,” he said.

In his own part, Acting Director , Programmes, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Mustapha Al-Amin, said the  exhibition is not the first of its kind but it is the first in Nigeria. He said, Al-Masoudi and his team are the “representatives of a company in Saudi Arabia who came to see what we have.  They came to see our service to Hajj and Umrah pilgrims and help in developing our services to the best way we serve them.

“These people want to come close to Nigerian company in order to build a strategic partnership with Nigerian company towards making Hajj and Umrah  stress-free.

“They want to see the opportunity we have in Nigeria and I believe that insh’allahu, they will see it because we are prepared to meet all their needs in terms of requirements for Hajj and Umrah, he said.

Speaking firther he said, “NIDCOM has been giving us all the support we need. The relationship between Nigeria and Saudi has been very fruitful and cordial. And both countries want to see how the cordial relationship can be strengthened further for the benefit of Nigerian pilgrims to Umrah and Hajj.

“We want to attract businesses and investments to Nigeria. Therefore the forthcoming exhibition will further create more favourable business climate for Nigerians to the benefit of both countries.

“Through this exhibition Saudi investors will be attracted to Nigeria. You can see that the exhibition is not only restricted to Hajj and Umrah but to Nigerians in Diaspora to see the need to contribute to the national economy of Nigeria through agriculture and other critical areas of the economy.”
