Unemployment: FG assures support to indigenous firms

 

The federal government through the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Otunba Richard Adeniyi Adebayo has expressed commitment towards supporting  indigenous companies  that are willing to provide employment opportunities for teeming unemployed youth in the country.

Adebayo disclosed this when he hosted a delegation from Kimberly Clark, a leading products company in Nigeria led by its consultant and two term  Minister of Commerce and Industry,  Chief (Mrs), Nike Akande in his Office in Abuja on Monday. 

The minister said “Buhari administration would continue to provide an enabling environment for Nigerian industries to operate as this will boost the economic growth and development of the country” 

Earlier the leader of the delegation, Chief (Mrs.) Nike Akande said the company is willing to support President Buhari’s Next Level agenda of lifting 100 million Nigerians out of poverty in the next 10 years, saying that “Kimberly Clark which is a leading products company in Nigeria which produces Huggies, baby diapers, Kotex sanitary pads and panty liners plans to create 5,000 Jobs in the next 3-5 years” she added.

Mrs Akande further stated that, her company will ensure sustainable growth of manufacturing in Nigeria by providing quality health and hygienic solutions for consumers including babies and their mothers across the country.
