Lafia varsity gets new VC


The Federal University of Lafia, Nasarawa state, Wednesday, got new Vice Chancellor, Professor Shehu Abdul-Rahman.

A statement by public relations officer of the university, Abubakar Ibrahim, and made available to newsmen in Lafia, indicates that Professor Shehu Abdul-Rahman emerged the best out of 43 candidates who contested for the position of the Vice Chancellor.

 Professor Shehu Abdul-Rahman is to succeed Professor Sanusi Liman whose tenure will expire on 10 of February 2021. 

The statement also quotes chairman of the governing council of the Federal University of Lafia, Professor Munzali Jubril as calling on the new Vice Chancellor to consolidate on the achievements of his predecessors towards taking the university to enviable heights.

Professor Shehu Abdur-Rahman, until his appointment as Vice Chancellor Federal University of Lafia was the Dean, Faculty of Agriculture in  the university.
