Unilever grows revenue by 40.8 % in 6 months

Unilever Nigeria Plc has recorded revenue of N19.724 billion for the second quarter of its 2021 financial year.

The company result submitted at the Nigeria Exchange showed that the revenue increased by 4 per cent compared with N 14.008 billion reported the previous year.

The company gross profit also went up by 69.40 per cent to N9.874 billion, from 6.156 billion recorded in the corresponding period of last year.

The analysis of the company result showed that selling and distribution rose by 34.33 per cent to N1.683 billion from.N1.253 billion while administrative expenses moved higher by 36.42 per cent to N7.797 billion against N5.715 billion reported in the same of last year.

The company balance indicated that cash and cash equivalents grew by 19.06 per cent to N44.172 billion from N37.100 billion as at June 2020 while trade and other receivables up by 4.74 percent to N13.571 billion within the period under review from N12.957 billion in the preceding year.

Total assets surged by 5.43 per cent to N96.486 billion from N91.517 billion recorded in the preceding year while total liabilities expanded by 14.48 per cent to close at end of June at N33.642 billion from N29.388 billion in the preceding year.
