Union trains 1,400 health workers on patients’ satisfaction in Nasarawa

The Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria (MHWUN) Federal Medical Centre, Keffi chapter has commenced the training of its over 1400 members on patients’ satisfaction for quality healthcare service delivery.
Chairman of the union, Mr. Monday Otso, made this known yesterday in Keffi at a oneday seminar titled “ The Role of Health Workers In Clients’ Satisfaction : FMC Keffi in Focus” organized for members of the union.
He said the programme was aimed at acquainting members with modern knowledge of ensuring clients’ satisfaction in the centre, describing patients as kings.
Otso urged the health workers to always respect the rights of patients, adding that “the client is the king who must be respected for services he or she is seeking, charging all workers to ensure that clients are satisfied.
He added that the seminar is timely due to the recent bill by Consumer Protection Council in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Health on the right of clients.
Also speaking, the national vice chairman and state vice chairman of the association, Hussaini Ahmed and Ayuba Ismaila, respectively urged the members of the union to adhere strictly to the ethics of their profession in order to save human lives.
They commended the leadership of the association for their continued efforts in organizing workshops for members of the association and called for its sustenance.
