Unity Bank face Fidelity in s/final

—Kaduna Corporate League Cup:

Former champions, Unity Bank will tackle Fidelity Bank while UBA square up against Access Bank in the semi final of the Kaduna Corporate League Cup scheduled for this weekend.

The four semi finalists of the annual tournament in its 7th edition emerged at the weekend after the last round of matches in the preliminary stage of the two groups were played last weekend.

In the first match of the day, CBN defeated Microcred Microfinance Bank 3-2 with goals from Aminu Yahaya, Nuhu Thomas and Haruna Lawal for CBN, while Joel Ibrahim and Michael Adelamu reduced the score line for Microcred Microfinance Bank.
In the second match of the preliminary round, UBA walked over FCMB who failed to turn up for the match. With the last set of results, Unity Bank topped Group A with 10pts and 19 goal difference, while UBA came second with same 10 points but a inferior goal difference of seven.

As the tourney berth in the knockout stage, Aliyu Mohammed of Unity Bank remains the highest goal scorer.
Representative of the organizers of the tournament, Vincent Akinbami, said supporters of the tournament and fans of the respective club sides should look forward to a very glamorous final as well as exciting classification matches between Zenith Bank and CBN for the fifth and sixth position and First Bank and FCMB for the seventh and eighth position.
