President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of DIG Usman Alkali Baba as acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), with immediate effect, the Minister of Police Affairs, Maigari Dingyadi, said on Tuesday.
The minister disclosed this to State House correspondents at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The president had on February 4, 2021, extended the tenure of IGP Mohammed Adamu for three months.Adamu had spent two months and three days.
