Updated: PDP exposes alleged APC moves to postpone Kogi guber poll

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Campaign Council has alerted the people of Kogi and Nigerians of alleged moves by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the state government to shift Saturday November 16 polls by two weeks.

PDP ii a statement signed by the Deputy Director Public Communication, Comrade Austin Okai, said the reason was hinged on the strong public opinion polls and the general feelings, that the government of Yahaya Bello would be beaten to the third position in the weekend election, if Independent INEC goes ahead,

Okai said the feeling of kogites was already divulged to the alleged misgovernance adminstration of the incumbent governor and sent jittery signal both to his supporters and sympathisers of the possibility of securing victory at the forthcoming polls.

The campaign council appealed to INEC not to concede to any unholy moves by the APC that will jeopardise the expectations of the people of the state, against installing good governance by voting the PDP in the Saturday’s election

He said the teeming supporters and voters across the state have travelled from far and near, to enable them elect the candidate of their choice as the next governor of Kogi state, and cannot afford to be defranschised on the alter of inordinate ambition to return as kogi governor by Yahaya Bello

The council said the moves,if considered will affect to a large extent, the outcome of the Saturday’s election,that may concede victory to undeserved Yahaya Bello and his APC

PDP warned the state government to stop adjusting and extending their dooms day,through unholy lobby and manipulations they are know for,as nothing will stop the present administration been booted out of Lugard house

Okai assured the APC that they will be no opportunity to reinforce it’s killer squads through mass recruitment and Importation of thugs into Kogi state, geared towards rigging the election in their favour

PDP enjoined INEC to go ahead with the election billed for Saturday, to usher in a new brand administration into Kogi state
