US, Japan, Indonesia, others to attend Enugu trade fair

Four foreign countries; the United States, Japan, Indonesia and Indonesia are nations which have indicated interest to participate in the forthcoming 29th edition of the annual Enugu international trade fair.
Africa countries likely to also participate are Ghana, Senegal and South Africa.
New president of Enugu Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ECCIMA), Pharm Emeka Udeze, gave the indication in Enugu while briefing newsmen on the activities lined up for the fair billed to kick off on Friday, March 16.
Udeze said the theme of the fair; “Engendering the Competiveness of Nigerian Products in the Global Market,” was well thought out to encourage made in Nigeria products, pointed out that many corporate organisations and business organisations would grace the fair adjudged to portend huge success.
“It is my pleasure to inform you that a good number of corporate bodies and business organisations as well as government agencies have indicated interest to participate in this fair.
“We are hopeful that the 29th Enugu International Trade Fair would be a success despite the economic situation that has really affected the economic cycle,” he stated.
To make the fair a huge success, the ECCIMA boss said electricity distribution network reinforcement commissioned of the distribution network of electricity lines inside the Fair complex including the changing of a good number of wooden electric poles to concrete poles.
On security, we have determined to maintain safety cum security as we have not had any security breach since we started hosting our fairs in the trade fair complex within the Golf Waste area about six years ago,” he said.
