Use Hijra period to change your ways group tasks Muslims

An Islamic  organisation under the aegis of El-Birru Muslim Association of Nigeria (EMAN) has called on Muslims across the country to use the period of Hijra, migration of Holy Prophet to Medina, to reflect on their past and amend their ways in order to enjoy the blessing of God Almighty.

The national amir of EMAN, Arch. Abdulyekeen Mamman, made the call during the Hijra cerebration and launching of Hijra calender in Okene in Kogi state.

   “The rich should be generous towards the poor; the poor should be patient with the rich, and the elders should be merciful to the young.”

While admonishing Muslims to be mindful of their mode of dressing, he them to always spend their money in propagating Islam by assisting the needy in the society.

The chairman of the occasion, Alhaji Ahmed Badamasiu, urged Muslims and non-Muslims in to love one another in the interest of peace.

He enjoined parents to prioritise the training of their children in godly ways to free the society from social vices associated to young people.

A lecturer at Bayero University Kano Dr Muhammad Zubair, who delivered a lecture at the occasion, said the Prophets of Islam used hijrah to unify the Arabs.

He advised Muslims in the country to be patient and be perseverance in the interest of peace.
