Uzodinma not our registered member- Imo APC

The All Progressives Congress Imo state chapter has stated that it has no candidate in the March 9 governorship in the state.

The party, which condemned the suspension of Governor Rochas Okorocha by the National Working Committee (NWC), said Senator Hope Uzodinma, the party flag bearer, going by its record was not a registered member of the party.

Uzodinma, he said was not a registered member of the APC in his ward in the Oru-east local government area of the state, stating it had no governorship candidate in the March 9, 2019 gubernatorial election.

The party, which urged its faithful to disregard the alleged suspension adding it would honour at its state executive level, said in a statement signed by the state chairman, Daniel Nwafor, said in Owerri Saturday that the suspension will not be honoured because Oshiomhole disregarded the rule of law in the suspension.

Nwafor further said the ‘purported suspension’ was also from someone who had outlived his usefulness in the party.

“I was with the APC chairman from Ogboko ward where the governor hails from. There was no letter from the NWC to him to query the governor for any offence.

“The truth is that Oshiomhole is a man who has no respect for rule of law. He has penchant for disobeying valid court judgments and orders.

“We demand his immediate resignation from the APC. Adams Oshiomhole has outlived his usefulness in the APC.

“As a party we will not honour that purported suspension. It is null and void and of no effect. Governor Rochas Okorocha remains the leader of the APC in Imo State.”
