After receiving complaints over alleged extortion at checkpoints along the highway, Anambra state government swung into action.
In a viral video, the deputy governor of Anambra state Gilbert Onyekachukwu Ibezim was seen asking Military personnel to stop heaping undue hardship on travellers when he stormed a checkpoint near Awka, the state capital.
Before his arrival, the alleged unwholesome activities by security operatives at the checkpoint had caused long queue of traffic jam which put travellers from parts of the country under undue hardship.
