Vote for me, I’ll be your voice, Natasha pleads

The candidate of Social Democratic Party (SDP) for Kogi Central senatorial district, Natasha Akpoti, has promised to be the voice of the people in senate if given the mandate.

The candidate also charged the electorate in the district to vote and defend their vote.

Speaking in Ajaokuta local government Thursday, Akpoti said the February 16th election was not about political leanings but about individual candidate and the person’s capacity to transform Kogi Central senatorial district.

She assured the people that she would defend their interest in the senate, adding the people have every reason to trust her since they know what she’s capable of doing.

She advised the people to vote for her and endeavour to and stand to defend their vote on the day of election. ‘Don’t vote and go home, vote and wait to defend your votes, make sure your vote is counted.”

Akpoti said she would consolidate on her efforts to ensure Ajaokuta Steel Company gets the nod of the federal government to come as well as utilise the recently approved $1billion completion fund and make Ajaokuta work for the people of Kogi state and Nigeria.

“By the time Ajaokuta is working, opportunities would be at your door steps. A working Ajaokuta is capable of ending poverty in Kogi state and boost Nigeria’s economy. Entrust me with your mandate and let’s rebuild our senatorial district together”, she said.

Reacting, the Onu of Ajaokuta, Alhaji Kashim Ibrahim and Ohiete of Utenyi Ajaokuta, Alhaji Musa Ibrahim Balemoh sorts for divine guardian for Natasha, praying that her relentless struggle for the resuscitation of Ajaokuta steel materializes. He promised the unalloyed support of aspiration.
