Governorship candidate of National Unity Party (NUP) for the November 18 Anambra governorship election, Sir Justin Amechi Nnoli, has cautioned Ndi-Anambra to be mindful of the persons they entrust their future to the next four years or else they would live to regret it.
Nnoli, who handed down the caution campaign weekend, said that his party would liberate Anambra State from socio-economic bondage if given the opportunity to govern Anambra State, come November 18, 2017, while stressing that the era of financial rapacity would be over because his government would ensure accountability and financial probity.
The guber candidate, who expressed optimism that his party would sweep the polls, said that he would ensure financial probity by publishing all revenue accruing to the state, both from Federation Account as well as Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).
Nnoli promised not to tamper with the state treasury but would be contented with his salary as a governor and added that he would be a servant leader open to divergent views and democratic tenets.
“If elected l promise to live up to my promise and commitment to our people by publishing all revenue accruing to the state. I shall be more than satisfied with my salary rather than dipping my hands into the treasury.
“My sincere plea to Ndi- Anambra is that we must be very careful in our choice of who we give and entrust with our mandate, I appeal to you to open your eyes wide open, and shine it too against the scavengers”, said Nnoli.
