Yobe state All progressives Congress (APC) has expressed readiness to conduct ward congresses across the state as provided by the party’s constitution.
The acting Yobe state APC chiarman, Alhaji Abdu Chilariye, made this known Thursday while briefing journalists on the preparation towards the congress.
He said Yobe state APC opted for consensus and added that it is the party’s view that it best suited the current situation and it would enhance harmony and sense of belonging within the ranks and file of the party.
“The mode and the manner of the consensus will be worked out in due course.
“All loyal party members are advised to remain calm as the various stakeholders are working round the clock in order to organise a hitch free ward congress across the state,” party chairman said.
It could be recalled that the APC has released approved schedule activities and guidelines for conduct of its nationwide ward congress scheduled for Saturday, July 31, 2021.
