The management of Lagos Ferry Services in conjunction with Lagos state Waterways Authority on Sunday, took Lagosians on a free sea cruise in one of its large and exquisite barges named ‘Adimu Orisha’.
The cruise which took off 3.15 pm ferried the guests on a fun- filled trip from its five cowries terminal in Falomo through the seas onto Banana Island and back.
Speaking with journalists on the event and plans to make water transportation attractive and safe for Lagosians, the MD/CEO of Lagos Ferry Services Hon. Abdoubaq Ladi Balogun, said water transportation holds immense values and opportunities to users and customers of Lagos Ferry Services.
” The amiable Governor of Lagos state, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, who is also the Fleet Marshal of Lagos Ferry Services, recently commissioned over 8 well equipped boats to boost water transportation in the state, and that is one of his several plans to make life better for Lagosians.
” Let me assure Lagosians that our ferries and boats are comfortable, secured, safer and of course faster. As it also provides commuters with a unique and exciting alternative to road transportation, ” Balogun assured.
