We didn’t endorse Prince Audu for governorship – Kogi IPAC, CNPP

The Kogi state chapters of Inter-party Advisory Council (IPAC) and Conference of Nigeria Political  parties (CNPP) have  debunked claim by Prince Mustapha Mona Audu that 17 political parties have adopted him for the November 2019 governorship election in the state.

They said the claim was not only untrue, fraudulent, and deceitful but most unfortunate.

In a statement signed by the leadership of IPAC and CNPP in the state Hon. Badanga Ilias and Chief B N Okpanachi (JP) Hon. Haruna Yakubu, IPAC State Chairman, CNPP state chairman and CNPP state secretary, respectively, they said none of the party chairmen whose parties were listed endorsed him.

Further, they described the claimed endorsed ‘419 declaration’ saying that they had no prior knowledge of the action of Prince Mustapha Mona Audu.

They added that the fraudulent act was in connivance with the state chairman of the Young Progressive Party, Mr Chinga Emmanuel.

The statement noted that the parties have unanimously resolved to suspend Mr Emmanuel Chinga indefinitely from all activities/meetings that has  to do with the Kogi state chapter of IPAC and the CNPP.

“We wish to bring to the notice of the various National Headquarters of each of our member parties and the general public that the pronouncement made by Prince Mustapha Mona Audu, to the effect that seventeen (17) political parties have adopted him as their governorship candidate for the fast approaching 2019 Governorship election in Kogi State.

“For clarity, none of the party chairmen whose parties fell victim to this 419 declaration have prior knowledge of this mischievous act audaciously carried out by Prince Mustapha Mona Audu in connivance with Mr. Chinga Emmanuel of the Young Progressive Party.

“As part of its resolutions too, our lawyers had been instructed to legally take up the matter with Prince Mustapha Mona Audu, the YPP chairman Mr Emmanuel Chinga and his national chairman with intent to seeking legal redress that would serve as future deterrent.”

Prince Audu had last week Wednesday  declared his intention to join the governorship  race under the platform of the Young Progressive Party (YPP), at the Children Amusement Park, Lokoja where he made a pronouncement that 17 political parties have adopted him for the exulted position.
