We won’t spare any effort to provide qualitative education – Okino

Chairman of Ajaokuta local government area in Kogi state, Aloysius Adeiza Okino, has said that no effort would be spared towards uplifting the standard of education and repositions it for optimal performance.

Okino, who stated this yesterday in Adogo, headquarters of the council, during a quiz completion organised by the Aloysius Okino Scholarship Scheme, stressed the need for government, at all levels, to invest in the education of the children.
He said his administration would do everything possible to reverse the downward trend of education in the area, adding that “no society can make progress without adequate education.”

He said the quiz competition was aimed at creating a forum for stimulating academic competition, healthy rivalry and stronger ties of friendship amongst the students of the area.
Okino called on the students from the area to take their studies seriously and shun all social vices which, he said, was responsible for the falling standard of education in the area.
He thanked the organisers and teachers of the participating schools for their resilience and hardwork, saying that the winners would be presented with computers and printers to aid teaching and learning in the benefiting schools.
