We’ll abide by Benue PDP decision on harmonisation – Ushi

The Peoples Democracy Party in Benue state has stated that it would abide by the constitution of the party in integrating new entrants coming into the party from other political parties.
A PDP stalwart in the state, Alex Ushi, disclosed this yesterday in Makurdi, while on a courtesy visit to the Special Adviser to Governor Samuel Ortom on Media and ICT, Tahav Agerzua in his office.
The party made the statement following the setting up of a committee to integrate new members into the party.
The essence, Ushi observed, is to ensure the appropriate distribution of party positions to all, including new entrants to the party among them those of the All Progressives Congress.
He further explained that, “there were a lot of processes that led to this, all I have to say is; PDP is a disciplined party.
We play by the rules and we are guided by the party constitution.
“So, we ensure that in whatever we do, we are guided.
The party took the decision to hand over the party structures to the governor and as far as its in accordance with the constitution people will abide by it.
“But, the arrangement is that we will first of all integrate our brothers that are coming back and then come to terms with this and allocate positions.
“And of course it’s all about allocation of positions and when we integrate the rest will follow,” he stated.
