We’ll partner relevant agencies towards developing Nigeria’s environment-Odusote

The Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Environment, Mrs. Ibukun Odusote, has expressed the commitment of her Ministry to partner relevant agencies in implementing developmental projects and cardinal programmes that will improve the state and well-being of the environment.

Odusote, made this call on Monday when the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) team led a delegation by the Country Representative in Nigeria, Mr. Suffyan Koroma of the United Nations (UN), at her office in Abuja.

She pointed out that Nigeria is immensely endowed with uncommon human and natural resources, compared to other countries of the world.

Odusote maintained that receiving technical supports from intervention and development-focused agencies like FAO will greatly help to harness the exotic resources domiciled in the country, in a way that will promote sustainable environmental development.

Earlier in his remarks, Mr. Koroma, stated that their mission was to familiarize and intimate the Ministry on programmes and projects of mutual interest and areas where FAO is already providing support services to the Federal Government of Nigeria.
