Wenger set for Arsenal return *See why

Arsenal are reportedly planning to bring their longest-serving manager Arsene Wenger back to the Emirates Stadium.

The Frenchman parted ways with the club after 22 years in May 2018 having won three Premier Leagues and several other domestic titles during his reign.

Wenger was heavily scrutinised by the supporters towards the end of his reign at the north London club following a downward trend in the pattern of their performances.

According to SunSport, Wenger appears not to have gotten over his sudden departure from the club he committed over two decades of his life.

He was succeeded by Spanish born tactician Unai Emery who was sacked by the club chiefs late last year owing to several internal rows with the players.

The former PSG manager did not last two seasons at the Emirates Stadium before he was fired with Mikel Arteta was appointed boss in December 2019 SunSport quoting Daily Mirror claim the Gunners are open to reuniting with their former manager as they plan to give the Frenchman a new role at the club.

Although the manager admitted that he would remain a fan of the club when he was leaving a few years back, he is however unsure of his return to the north London side. Reports claim Arsenal top guns are “would love to welcome him back to help garner support among the fans.”
