We’re committed to security provision in FHA’s estates – Ashafa

The Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Housing Authority (FHA), Senator Gbenga Ashafa, Wednesday, said the management of the authority is committed to the provision of adequate security within its estates across the country.

Ashafa spoke at the official commissioning of a Police Post donated to the Federal

Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command by the FHA, held at the FHA Estate, Lugbe, Abuja.

He said the Police Post was the fulfillment of the promise the authority made to the Police earlier that they would be relocated to a befitting place, and disclosed that FHA management doesn’t joke with security.

The FHA boss said despite the spate of insecurity across the country, the authority’s estates nationwide are well secured, adding that the organization did not take security for granted.

“The importance of this ceremony, we might look at it as something

small or narrow, but when it comes to security, the Federal Housing Authority does not joke at all with, especially, where we have our estates. The purpose of coming together is just to show the world that in whatever we do in terms of the provision of houses for the people who are citizens of Nigeria, here at FHA, we take security seriously.

“I will refer to the Police Post as the symbol of security for the entire Lugbe area. This is not the only one that we have here, we have a police state that is fully equipped, and fully manned. If you go back to what I said in my opening remarks, you will recall that I said from the time immemorial, FHA does not take the security factor of its estates granted.
