We’re determined to rid Oyo of criminal elements – NSCDC 

The Oyo state commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), CC Michael Adaralewa, has said the command is determined to rid the state of criminal elements.

Speaking at the Oyo state NSCDC command headquarters, Agodi, Ibadan, during the parade of two suspects specialising in phone theft by picking pockets within Ibadan metropolis, Commandant Adaralewa asked criminals to leave Oyo state.

The Oyo state NSCDC  commandant said no criminal minded citizen will be allowed to stay in Oyo state and it is better  to leave the state.

Commandant Adaralewa gave names of the two suspects as ” Olaniyi Ademola, age 35 years, male, a native of Iwo in Osun state who resides at No 5/153, Odo Osun Labiran Area of Ibadan North East and Kehinde Asimiyu, 31 years, native of Ibadan from Ojagbo Mafikuyomi compound of Ibadan North east local government respectively.”

Commandant Adaralewa pointed out that the two suspects were arrested on November 29th, 2022 around 0900hrs after picking ” two Android phones, one Itel and one Infinix from innocent citizens at Olorunsogo area of Ona Ara local government, before the intervention of Operation Burst in the area who pursued and arrested them.

He stated that the two suspects would  be arraigned in law court immediately after investigation.
