We’re working hard to reclaim Abia from PDP – Okoro

The Chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Hon Nkem Okoro has said that the party is still at the tribunal making progress to reclaim the state in the hands of her enemies.

Okoro stated this in Umuahia on Monday during a Press conference.

He maintained that the party is making progress on the ongoing petitions before the tribunal while expressing optimism of dethroning PDP led government in the state at the end of the day.

He pointed out that Dr Alex Otti is at the tribunal with the aim of retrieving his mandate.

Okoro said that after the announcement of the election result by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) which declared Governor Okezie Ikpeazu as elected that they approached the tribunal as required by law.

He  said that APGA with Otti approaching the tribunal which was the honorable path to take, stressing that their supporters should not entertain any fears as they are determined to reclaim their mandate.

The Abia APGA boss said that the need to meet the press became necessary following attempts by reports making the rounds that the party has decided to withdraw the case from the tribunal which he said is false.

He explained that the party lawyers have presented a watertight case, ladened with overwhelming facts of evidence to prove that the election was a charade and a mockery of INEC and the electoral guidelines, “Which should not be allowed to stand”.
