Why I’m collapsing my structure into APGA- Accord guber candidate

Accord Party governorship candidate in Abia state Barrister Emeka Uwakolam has said he collapsed his structure into that of the All Progressives Grand Alliance candidate to ensure the state is liberated from godfatherism and bad governance.

He also said he has dropped his governorship ambition in support of APGA candidate Dr Alex Otti because they share the same political ideology, adding that Otti stands a better chance to wrest power from the PDP than himself

The Accord governorship candidate made this revelation last Friday at Otti’s campaign office, Bank road Umuahia, during a courtesy visit with his teeming supporters.

“I was not forced or induced to support Otti but was moved by the experience and quality of the person of Alex Otti and I decided to join him to work to ensure we liberate the state from godfatherism and bad governance”.

He further disclosed that his party is not collapsing into the APGA, but has only chosen to support and form alliance with someone with genuine desire to move the state forward.

He said Otti for now remains the best and only candidate that can move the state forward, adding that the reason he collapsed his structure into Otti’s was to actualize the set objective.

Uwakolam, who decried the poor state of Abia and the low performance of the PDP for nearly 20 years, called on other parties to join hands with Otti  in liberating the state from misrule and bad governance.

Responding, Otti extolled the virtues of the Accord Party governorship counterpart and his supporters for the bold initiative and for finding him worthy to step down.

Otti said the state needs to be refocused and returned to God, saying that efforts should be made to abolish idolatry in the state.

He lamented the level of poverty in the state regretting that the only businesses that thrive in the state today are those of bill boards production, propaganda, and mortuary undertaking.
