Why some pilots are unemployed – Yadudu

 

The Managing Director of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) Rabiu Yadudu has explained why some pilots in the country are generally unemployed stating that the reason was because they don’t have the experience. 

Yadudu who spoke at the just concluded 7th Aviation workers week held on Tuesday in Abuja said the younger pilots are not experienced adding that flying is a profession and the more one fly, the more they get the experience, the more seniority and the more accomplished .

He said with the accomplishment of the National Carrier, young pilots will need the platform to showcase their careers effectively. 

Also, the Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika has given assurance that the National Carrier when actualised will be fully represented globally.

The minister further assured that the National Carrier which is still on course will also create job opportunities in the country .

Sirika noted this while he was represented by the Director, Planning Research and Statistics, Ministry of Aviation, Shehu Mohammed Rabi at the  7th Aviation

The program was themed: “Contribution of National Carrier to Socio-Economic Development of Nigeria”.

He attributed the delay of the National Carrier to internal mechanism which is been addressed.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Joint Consultative and Negotiating Council, Comrade Hector Nnadi explained that the concept is anchored on the desirability or otherwise of a National Carrier’s contributions to the Socio Economic growth of our fatherland.

He said participants are expected to generate their opinions as deemed fit.
