It is natural for twins to look alike but the case of Hussaina and Hassana Yusuf is different, one day according to Hussaina, her twins sister’s boyfriend visited their house but her sister that is Hassana was busy she therefore asked Hussaina to go and attend to her boyfriend and pretend that she is the one he is dating, she did so successfully they chatted for a very longtime with her sister’s boyfriend but he did not realized that it was not Hassana that attended to him up to the time he left.
Hussaina and Hassana are 24years old, after their primary school at Gwange Primary school in Maiduguri they proceeded to Federal Government College, Maiduguri and later obtained a Diploma in Social Welfare from University of Maiduguri, before relocating to Kano state.
Blueprint correspondent spoke with them last week in Kano on Zoo road when they were preparing to go for shooting film.

Question: Tell us a bit about yourselves?
Answer: Well, Hussaina was the first to speak, she said they are from Borno state, Fulani by tribe and that they joined Kannywood about 6 years ago. So far they featured in several films which includes, KUDIRI, SAINAYI KUDI, and TALATU NUMBA DAYA with the king of Kannywood Ali Nuhu as the lead actor, the film was suspended when Ali Nuhu collapsed on location and had to be hospitalized, this is the second time Ali Nuhu is collapsing on location recently, Hassana is also featuring in Dadinkowa television series for Arewa 24.
Question: How do your boyfriends use to differentiate you, I mean to know which one of you is Hassana and Hussaina?
Answer: Well, like I told you earlier we are 28years old, we have never gone out separately, one day Hassana’s boyfriend came visiting but she was busy, she asked me to go and attend to him and pretend that I am the one he is dating. I did it successfully but we promised never to play that act again, but to differentiate us, am fatter than Hassana and she also talk too much more than I do, and now she is also featuring in a Dadinkowa television programme for Arewa 24, so those that want to differentiate us can visit her during office hours when she is alone, even though I am always waiting for her to work finish work so that we can go home that is all I can say.
Question: How did you joined Kannywood?
Answer: We joined Kannywood 6years ago through a family friend, one Alhaji Dalhatu later we met Falalu Dorayi, Sadiq Mafia and now Muhammed Salisu officer, because of Boko haram our parents now live in Kano, we did not join Kannywood because of money but whenever we receive our pay we are always happy, we are here to educate people especially women on human values so that the rate at which marriage are breaking up these days should reduce, because marriage is a life project, don’t want to marry us because we are celebrity, marry us because you love us and when you are broke we will stay with you we have seen successful marriages in Kannywood, like Mansurah Isah and Sani Danja, Zainab Idris, and Muhibbat Abdulsalam.
Question: Can you marry sets of twins?
Answer: Yes, that is our answer, the truth is if we get decent people that will marry us, we are ready to settle down even today, but none of us will marry before each other. We want to marry on the same day. We have never quarrel both of us know each other’s secret. If you want to friend one of us we must screen you to know that you are not a deceiver. Some ladies join Kannywood to expose their body and make cheap money these are the characters that are making people to look at us as if we are cheap, we have a class but we are not arrogant we are from good family, that is why we are ready to get married anytime the opportunity comes.
Question: What is this deep black spot on your forehead?
Answer: We want to enter paradise what you are seeing on our forehead is occasioned by constant midnight prayers, during the wee hours of the night it is not ordinary. We are deeply religious, am sure one may ask why are we into this profession instead of going to Islamiyyah School since we want to enter paradise but since we came here nobody has asked us to zip down for him so we are happy with what we are doing, but of recent, we have scale down our acting activities because we are interested in settling down very soon, and even the industry has less programs these days.
