Why we won’t reelect Buhari – Arewa/Ijaw youths

A group, the Arewa Youths  Solidarity for Atiku/Obi and the Ijaw Youths Peaceful Democratic Forum/South South for Atiku/Obi 2019 has listed several reasons President Muhammadu Buhari, his running mate Prof. Yemi Osibanjo and the All Progressives Congress should not be reelected in the forthcoming presidential election.

Addressing newsmen at a joint press conference, the National coordinator of Arewa group, Alhaji Abdullahi Hassan Amper, identified increased insecurity in the country, especially in the North East and North West as part of the reasons why Buhari should be rejected like a fluke.

Amper also listed poverty, corruption in Buhari’s government, unemployment, down slide economy, collapsed of education, nepotic appointments of Buhari’s government, the President refusal to sign electoral bill, among others reasons why Buhari should be rejected.

Lamenting the poverty level in the country, Amper said, “apart from becoming the poverty capital of the world, Nigerians have become the poorest of the poor as many sleep without food. Hunger is written on the faces of Nigerians.

Speaking on the rate of unemployment in the country, the Arewa coordinator said, “there is no home or village without an unemployed graduate. This is very unfortunate. An Atiku/Obi presidency will reduce to the bearest minimum the unemployment rate in the country since they are employers of labour.”

Amper said, “It is common knowledge that direct family members of the President are in the ministries, departments and parastatals. It is quite unfortunate the role of the cabal in running the affairs of governance.

“The issue of Amina Zakari, Maman Daura, Abba Kyari, the ministers of FCT, Aviation and Finance, close relations of the President smack of political and corruption. The Amina Zakari and the INEC sinister motives to rig the elections for the ruling APC and President Buhari should attract international condemnation.”

Calling on the Igbo people not to be deceived with 2023 presidency, the group said that the rule of law has never been so bastardised in Nigeria like it has been done under the APC administration of President Buhari.

He added that the first casualty of the rule of were the judges of the Federal High Court and the Supreme Court, who were harassed and hounded by this government.

Also speaking the coordinator of Ijaw youths, Hon. Godbless Nathan decried the sorry state of the nation and why Atiku should be voted into power.
