Widening the scope of development in Kwali

DONALD IORCHIR who recently undertook a visit to grassroots politics in some area councils in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, posits that for Kwali area council rural development target of the administration of Hon. Daniel Ibrahim, chairman of the council is a driving force for strategic empowerment of rural dwellers.

Recently, the chairman, Kwali Area Council in the Federal Capital Territory, (FCT) Abuja, Hon. Daniel Ibrahim had cause to admonished his management staff warning them against any behaviour that might negatively affect the image of the council. His major concern was that such negative image is capable of distracting the focus of his administration on development oriented issues. The reaction was style which appears to lay emphasis on an even spread infrastructural development across the council, a style that brought the rural area into the main stream of development strategies empowering more and more populace.

A check on his score card in terms of development project will reveal that the complexities of a cosmopolitan council like the area council has not blurred the focus of the chairman who is seeking the second tenure in office to provide more of the basic infrastructure for the consolidation of his administration’s development objectives, part of which involves carrying the populace along while making the thinking populated towards habitable for the teaming residents.
The council boss has remains on relenting in his forward stride towards moving the council ahead of his peers.

The focus on the administration of Hon. Daniel has enhanced strategies of even development that cuts the nook and cranny of the area council. Among the exhibiting projects in his score cards spanned from health, electrification, road network, agriculture, sanitation, education portable drinking water, traditional institution and security,  these and more projects completed and ongoing gave the chairman an edge over some of his peers in other area councils of the Federal Capital Territory.
Hon. Ibrahim’s administration has provide essential infrastructures different from the legacy of the more than his predecessor’s reign, is  not in doubt in view of what he showcase to make his three years of his tenure. But, given the gimmicks for which political leaders are known in his part of the world, it is worth adopting a wait and see approach instead of rushing into hasty conclusion that might sound like a judgment on Daniel’s ability to live Kwali Area Council better than he met it.

Whether the Kwali indigenes and residents are satisfied, is an issue that we have wait to determine as many political observers in the area insist that it is not chest thumping time for Hon. Daniel Ibrahim because the dangerous political cleavages that characterized the council is enough to keep him on his toes till his tenure expires.
Transparency and accountability in governance are core values of his party’s mandate to the residents and these are the heart of every agenda of his administration. Kwali Area Council under his administration, have lined up to expectation, we have not fail the electorate and by the special grace of God we will not fail them; he declared. Aside from maintaining one of the enviable council sectarians in the Federal Capital Territory, provision of social amenities has remained some of the administration’s strategies of empowering the residents.
