Woman found dead in Makurdi water drainage



A young woman in her thirties was Sunday morning discovered dead in a water drainage along Calabar street in Makurdi, the Benue state capital.
The young lady, who was identified as Angbiandoo, was said to have left home around 7 pm Saturday but never returned.
The Benue state Police Command spokesperson, DSP Catherine Sewuese Anene, who confirmed the incident said, “a lifeless body of a lady was found in a drainage at Calabar street on Sunday at about 7am.


“The family was traced and they confirmed the corpse to be Angbiandoo Gbavaan who left the house the previous night and never returned.
“The corpse has been deposited at Bishop Murray Morgue for autopsy.
“Investigation has already commenced to unravel further information on the cause of her death.”
