Speaking at the rally, the chairperson of the Initiative, Hajiya Hambaru Yahaya, describe Buhari as the “rightful candidate” of the APC for 2015 Presidential election.

Yahaya said the rally was organised to motivate Buhari to declare his ambition and appealed to Atiku Abubakar and Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to step down for him.
She explained that the large turnout of APC supporters from five local government areas of Daura Emirate was indicative of the support being enjoyed by Buhari from his constituency.
Earlier, Katsina state chairman of APC, Mustapha Muhammed Inuwa, commended organisers of the party, pointing out that the party at the state level was behind Buhari’s candidature.
Inuwa described Buhari as an “honest and God-fearing leader” and called on Nigerians in respective of religion and tribe to give him the chance to rule the country for the better.
Also speaking, former member House of representative, Suleiman Mai’adua, said the rally was necessary in view of emergence of some presidential aspirants to scheme out Buhari from the race.
Mai’adua said if Buhari refused to declare his intention, people from his constituency would drag him to court.
