Work resumes after Sallah holidays

Work resumes in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) after the two-day public holiday declared by the federal government to enable Muslims observe the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.

A visit Thursday to Jabi Motor park in Abuja revealed that in spite of the morning rain, residents were seen returning to enable them resume their normal business activities and official work.

The ever-busy Utako-Jabi road, which was scanty as a result of the holidays, witnessed heavy human and vehicular traffic.

The leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has rejoiced with the Nigerian Muslims on the occasion of the celebration that brought Ramadan to an end.

The Acting General Secretary of CAN, Joseph Daramola, in a statement urged Muslims to continue restraining themselves from ungodly activities as commanded by the Qur’an.

Daramola urged the Muslim Ummah to use the occasion to pray for love, peace, unity and progress of the nation. (NAN)
