Yari, associates ‘stole’ my N800m fertilizer funds-Umar

The Youths Leader of African Tijjaniyya Sects, Malam Ahmed Tijjani Umar, has accused former Governor Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara state and his former Commissioner of finance Muktar Shehu Idris, for stealing his N800 million funds for fertilizer he supplied to the state government in 2011 and 2012 during Yari’s administration.

He said he will take Yari and his Lieutenants to EFCC to fight for his right, adding that if the Commission failed, he will go to court to seek redress.

He explained that in 2012, Former Governor Abdulaziz Yari used Shehu Idris, Abu Dantabawa and others to take him to court in 2016, accusing him of supplying over 100 trucks of fake fertilizer.

He accused Yari for paying over 800 million Naira for fertilizer supply to unregistered company called Jega Nigeria ltd in the name of his Company through Sterling Bank plc., adding that he wrote a petition to EFCC which he notified the Commission on the matter but accused the Yari for using his veto power to manipulate the case without taken any necessary action by the anti-graft Commission.

According to him, recently he acquired a document from the state ministry of finance under the current administration of Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle that the state government is now handling the case.

“I want to thanks Almighty Allah that, the long overdue court case between me and former Governor Abdulaziz Yari has been discharged and I am vindicated that my Money should be paid”. He said.

He appealed to Matawalle to assist him and ensure justice prevail on the matter and seize the stolen Money belonging to the state by the previous government.
