It could be recalled that the state executive council had in January approved the construction of the road to Mother Cat Ltd at the cost of over N3.8 billion and to be completion period ending May with government releasing 40 per cent of the total project sum.
The governor, who lauded the changes made on the project agreement, warned that his administration would not compromise standardsin the execution of government projects in the state.
While conducting the governor round the projects, the state Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Alhaji Ahmad Sharu, said some alignments were made on the original 14.2 kilometers which led to the reduction of the length by 1.4 kilometers.
Sharu, however, said the 1.4 kilometers excess had been converted to the construction of feeder roads to be extended to villages situated on the bypass.
While speaking on behalf of Mother Cat during the inspection, Mr. Ziyad Karam assured that a quality work would be executed based on the contractual agreement and specification.
