Governor of Kaduna state, Alhaji Mukhtar Ramalan Yero, has congratulated Gen. Mathew Luther Agwai (rtd), Malam Ladan Salihu, Mr Sola Omole and Mr Ima Niboro, over their recent appointments by President Goodluck Jonathan.

Agwai was appointed as chairman of the Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Programme (SURE-P); Salihu became the director -general of FRCN; Mr Sola Omole was named the director-general of NTA, just as Niboro was appointed the managing-director of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

The governor, who expressed joy over the appointment of Agwai, described him as “a man of courage and proven integrity who will bring his wealth of experience to bear on managing the SURE-P funds.” Agwai is a man of unquestionable character and he perfectly fits the position as replacement to Dr. Christopher Kolade, who recently left the post voluntarily.

“General Agwai served his fatherland meritoriously in the Army rising to the highest rank in the country and also went ahead to serve the world as head of the United Nations Peace Mission in Darfur, Sudan.”
Yero while congratulating Agwai on his new appointment said “Kaduna people are proud of your achievements and are behind you with prayers to succeed in this onerous responsibility.”
