Yobe acquires asphalt thresher, concrete mixer

Yobe state governor, Ibrahim Gaidam, has inspected newly acquired asphalt thresher and concrete mixing machines, purchased by the state Ministry of Works, Transport and Energy in a determined spirit to meet the high demand of road construction across the state,.
Taking the governor round, the Commissioner in charge of the ministry, Alhaji Lawan Shettima Ali, said “the asphalt thresher and concrete mixer were purchased through direct labour in order to meet the challenges of road construction across, noting that “only literate engineers will handle the machines.”
Gaidam expressed satisfaction with what he saw on ground and called on the ministry to make good use of the machines so that they would last long.
“With what I saw on ground, I wish to express my satisfaction for the acquired machines. I call on the ministry to get experts who will man the machines very well in order to avoid early breakdown.”
The governor was also at the newly constructed Model Driving School, located along Potiskum road, which constructed at the cost of N44.3 million where the governor called on the V.I.O in the woks ministry not to issue driving certificates to those who could not attend the training school.
