Yobe APC guber candidate: I ‘ll tackle water scarcity, bad roads in Fika

All Progressives Congress (APC) Gubernatorial Aspirant in Yobe state, Mai Mala Buni, has assured that lingering water scarcity and dilapidated roads in the ancient city of Fika would soon become a history.

Buni, made the disclosure on Tuesday while flagging off his campaigns in Fika and Gadaka communities in Yobe state.

He said the challenge of water scarcity which has been long overdue in the area would be tackled head on.

“I know the problem of water scarcity you are passing through. l assure you that we will do all we could and seek federal government’s assistance where necessary to make sure that we provide you with available and portable drinking water.”

“We will construct Fika-Malori-Daura, Ngalda – Gujba and the township roads,” he said.

He further stated that the youths across the state would be provided with empowerment programmes such as irrigation and the use of motorcycle that was banned due to insecurity would be reinstated, to ease problem of transportation to farms now that the security challenges have improved.

He called on the party supporters to come out en masse on Saturday for the governorship election and elect APC at all levels.

At the rally, chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Fika local government, Alhaji Adamu Ba’abba, other 1000 supporters from PDP and Mega party that decamped to APC were received by the Guber Aspirant.

Those who spoke at the rally include; Senator-elect in the zone Bala Ibrahim Bomoi, Member-elect representing Fika/Fune, Abubakar Bala Ajeje, APC Women Leader Hajiya Ladi Jibrin, among others who called on Buni to provide ambulance to Fika hospital, as well as tackle the problem of quila birds in the area during harvest.
