Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state Wednesday broke down into tears and wept at the burial of the late Yobe state commissioner of Youths and Sports, Alhaji Bukar Goni Lawan, who was involved in a motor accident along Damaturu-kano road on Tuesday.
The deceased was said to have accompanied the state governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni to a funeral prayer and departed by road to kano while the govebror and his aides departed for Maiduguri International airport from Damaturu only to be truncated and saddened by the sad news of the sudden dead of his cabinet member who is also a good friend and Ally of the governor decided to cut his Abuja trip short to return to Damaturu for the burial.
While leading some top Government delegation to the residence of the deceased Wednesday morning, for the funeral prayers of the late Commissioner of Youths and Sports and political ally, Bukar Goni Lawan, Governor Buni who could not hide his feelings and emotion brokered into tears.
Gov. Buni and the deceased had a long-standing relationship and he appointed him Commissioner of Youths and Sports after he was elected Governor of Yobe.
