Yobe CSOs to strengthen coordination to grassroots – Executive Director

The newly sworn-in Executive Director, Network of Yobe State Civil
Society Organisations CSOs, Alhaji Baba Shehu has, said the network
will strengthen the coordination of the coalition to the grassroots
for effective monitoring.

He made the disclosure shortly after the swearing-in of 16 man
officials of the society on Wednesday at Damaturu the Yobe state
capital.

Shehu further, said his main priority was to identify and support
policies and programmes of ministries, extra ministerial departments
and agencies.

“My main priority is to constructively support government policies
that can translate to improve service delivery and the one that will
benefit citizens of Yobe state.

We will strengthen coordination between government, CSOs as well as
development partners not to duplicate programmes and projects” he
said.

He called on the Community Base Organisations and other clusters
across the state to organize themselves and work hand in hand with the
main CSOs to know the needs and priority of their communities.

The Secretary of the network, Baba Kucici told Blueprint that, they
will work with development partners by making sure the coalition work
harmoniously with government.
