The activities which held in most affected local government councils of Damaturu, Gujba and Potiskum were aimed at improving social cohesion and explore avenues for reconciliation and peaceful reintegration of people especially women and girls in affected communities.

AFRYDEV Programme Officer, Abdullahi M. Machima, said, “The project will mainstream conflict sensitivity activities in addressing challenges of reintegration posed by fear and mistrust that antagonized and stained family and community relationships.

“The project will use dialogue and trauma healing to support reconciliation and reintegration of women and girls captured, abused or forced into “marriage” by boko haram who bear the stigma of their past association.”
