Yobe: Gana emerges chairman as AMDON elects maiden executive

The Association of Motors Dealers of Nigeria (AMDON) Yobe state branch, Saturday, elected Alhaji Modu Gana as its maiden chairman.

The chairman of the electoral committee, Ahmed Abubakar, of kunya Motors Potiskum declared Alhaji Gana who scored a total of 136 out of 143 accredited votes as winner of the election while Alhaji Babagana Ibrahim emerged as vice chairman.

Others were Abubakar Babayo Ibrahim as secretary, Bala Mohammed, Financial Secretary, Idi Mamman Jaji, Assistant Financial Secretary, Hassan Usman PRO, Usamn Umar Tijjani Auditor 1, Alhaji Ahmed Lawan, Chief Whip and Baffa Bello Bulah as Social Secretary 1 among others.

While congratulating the new executive, AMDON national vice chairman North Central and chief of staff to the president Nasarawa state chapter, Alhaji Ibrahim DK Adamu described the election as a peaceful one.

“The new exco should ensure that they carry their members along,” Adam added.

In his acceptance speech, Gaba called on members to unite for common purpose, promisinh to move the association to greater heights.

The Executives were inaugurated shortly after the election by Barrister Sadiq Abubakar Bakari.
