Yobe residents charge new Senate president to be fair to all Nigerians

Yobe citizens have called on the newly elected Senate President, Senator Ahmed Lawan, representing Yobe North to be fair to all

Nigerians by ensuring developments reach all nooks of crannies of the country.

They spoke Tuesday immediately he emerged as the senate President Polling 79 votes to defeat his closest contender, Senator Ali Ndume who got 28 votes.

Abdullahi Bello, a residents of Yobe said “for the period of 20 years that Ahmed Lawan spent in the National Assembly he was not found wanting in his duties. I urged him to allow passage of bills sent to them on time for the benefit of Nigerians”.

Similarly, Abubakar Ciroma, “the level of acceptance Ahmed Lawan received was overwhelming, we pray Almighty Allah to help him succeed”.
