Yobe to construct road at Mohammed Alamin Estate in Damaturu

Yobe state government through the state ministry of works says it would soon embark on the construction of new road and drainage at Mohammed Alamin Housing Estate known as (Afghanistan).

Yobe state Commissioner of Works, Engineer Umar Wakil Duddaye, made the disclosure Monday while briefing journalist at the 2022 ministerial briefing at the NUJ conference hall in Damaturu.

Engineer Duddaye said, the present administration under the leadership of governor Mai Mala Buni, the ministry of Works under his watch has constructed over 54.6km roads and drainages across the 9 Local Government Areas of the state in 3 years.

The Commissioner stated that they includes 2.0km roads and drainages at Zanna Zakariya Estate,2.5km Obasanjo – Malam Matari ,5.7km Roads from NTA Potiskum in road,1.5km Roads and drainages at Shehu Sule College of Nursing and Midwifery and 3.8km Earth Road around New Bra – Bra-Estate all in damaturu.

He further said others are, 2.7km Roads and drainages in Potiskum ,3.7km Roads and drainages in Nguru ,2.0km roads and drainages in Geidam, 2.0km roads and drainages in Gashua,

2.3km roads and drainages in Jajimaji, 4.0km roads and drainages in Buni-Yadi town among others.

He explained that the projects were 100% completed and have help in easing the movement of goods and services in the respective local government areas.

The Commissioner maintained that there are also ongoing 13km  Damagum Gubana Road,18km Danchuwa-Garin Bingel Road,16km Nguru-Balanguwa road and 30km Balanguwa-Kumagannam road in the state .

He added that others are; 10km,Chumbusko- Tagali road,Construction of Pedestrian bridges at damaturu, Nguru,Gashua and Potiskum modern markets respectively.
