You ‘ll get ‘percentage’ votes, aggrieved workers tell Al-Makura

Local government workers and pensioners have vowed to pay Nasarawa state governor, Tanko Al-Makura with percentage votes just the way he been paying their pension, gratuity and salaries in percentages.
Leader of the concerned pensioners in the state, Comrade Usman Ibrahim, made their position known to journalists yesterday in Lafia.
He said they were collaborating with the local government workers to pay Al-Mmakura back on his senatorial ambition in 2019 as a consequence of his actions.
“We must pay him back for his good did because a cooking pot for a lizard should also serve for a chameleon too.
2019 is a payback time for Al-Mmakura,” he said.
Usman explained that since September 2016, Al-Makura has been paying them only 50 per cent of their monthly pension, leaving out the balance of 50 per cent unpaid without justifiable reason on when to pay the outstanding 50 per cent.
“We are aware that government has collected gratuity from the Paris Club and should pay us our money now.
We need not die before our gratuities are paid; it will only be useful to us when we are a life.
“Over 2,000 of our members have died due to negligence and percentage payment, and for the past 26 months, we have been paid 50 per cent as against 100 per cent; we have the records,” Usman said.
He added that, in case Al-Makura has forgotten, let me remind him that 2019 election will be completely different from 2015 because we are fully prepared for him as the ballots box will definitely speak.”
