Youth group congratulates Wase on emergence as deputy speaker

Members of the Plateau state Youth Council, has congratulated Hon Idris Wase on his emergence as the Deputy Speaker of the 9th House of Representatives. 

Wase emerged unopposed on June 11, when the house was inaugurated.

Speaking during a courtesy visit Tuesday in Abuja, leader of the council, Dr Jenchang Fabong, who read the congratulatory message said, his re-election by his constituents and eventual election as deputy speaker was a milestone.

“This is a great stride for the people of Plateau state giving that you were unopposed at the polls. This further buttresses your acceptability nationwide. We hope and believe that you shall do great exploit leveraging on our support, partnership and prayers.”

Responding, Wase, appreciated the youths for acknowledging his contribution to the society.

“The country is in dire need of good leadership in addressing insecurity, poverty, infrastructure and many other things that are required.

“We are in our trying moment but together, l believe, we can overcome it,” he stated.
