Youths form Jonathan campaign group in Edo

The Goodluck Transformation Continuity Moment has been launched to support President Goodluck Jonathan’s 2015 bid.
The group, which was inaugurated in Benin City, the Edo state capital, at the weekend, by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Youth and Student Matters, Comrade Jude Imagwe, was aimed at mobilising for the re-election of the president in 2015.
Speaking in at Elele in River state, Imagwe said four years “is not enough for the president to complete what he has started and should be support to continue come 2015 to enable him consolidate on his developmental thrives.”
He said: “When a governor says four years is not enough for him to complete what he has started, nobody talks but when the president says he needs another four years, people are shouting and all of them shouting are not equal to the president in terms of experience and qualifications.”
Meanwhile, the former Secretary to the River State Government, Engr. Mike Elechi, has assured that the state would be delivered to the PDP in 2015.
He said: “I have been politically dormant for three, four years now, but on January 1, I decided to start working for the government and PDP; and since then the government has not been at ease. But I promise you that we will hold forth for Rivers state. The Ekwere local governments will be delivered to the president, come 2015. Some people will be saying Amachi is Ekwere, therefore, the president has not hope; that is not true. I assure you that we will win the election here.”
He also gave the assurance that the turbulence in the state would soon be over, saying “the turbulence happening now in Rivers state will soon come to an end; it is a normal thing.”
