Youths want Bola Ige’s murder case re-opened

A group of youths from the North-east part of the country has called for the re-opening of the murder case of the late Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Chief Bola Ige.

The group made the appeal at an event organised by the youth coordinators of Al-Mustapha Peace, Unity and Development Initiative (APUDI) in Abuja.
They carried placards with inscriptions such as” Re-open Bola Ige’s murder,” calling on the federal government to revisit the matter with the view to brining the perpetrators to justice.

The ceremony, put together by APUDI’s coordinators in the six council areas of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), was aimed at thanking Major Hamza Al-Mustapha for “his initiative in empowering the youth of the FCT.”
APUDI youth coordinator for Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Mr. Omale U. Sule, who spoke on behalf of other council areas’ coordinators, said:

“The APUDI programme is laudable. We have been longing for a programme like; a programme that is geared towards youth empowerment in the country.”
He added: “The major problem confronting the country is youth unemployment, nothing that 45 per cent of the youth in AMAC are skilled but lack empowerment to actualise their potential.”

Responding, Major Al-Mustapha advised them to compile their needs in form of a public document “so that APUDI can look at the document with the view to addressing them in their order of priority.”
He said: “Compile a document of problems confronting all the six council areas of the FCT, so that we can look at it with the view of solving these problems in their order of priorities. Our aim is to provide skills and empowerment for youths across the country.”
