Yuguda urges FG to provide textbooks to Bauchi schools

Governor Isa Yuguda of Bauchi state has called on the federal government to complement his administration’s effort towards ensuring quality education through the provision of textbooks to schools in the state.

Yuguda, who made the plea when he received the Supervising Minister of Education, Mr Nyeson Wike, in Bauchi, said “this will augment the over two million textbooks so far provided by the state government.”
He said the request became imperative in view of the increasing number of schools established by the state government following the influence of internally displaced persons from other states.

The governor, however, commended the various interventions of TETFUND in tertiary institutions in Bauchi state.
Speaking earlier, Wike said they were in the North-east to monitor the utilisation of the fund.
He expressed satisfaction with the prudent and efficient management of the resources of TETFUND.
