‘Yuguda will be remembered for empowering youths’

Chairman of a political group, Bauchi Youths Volunteers’ Forum, Alhaji Danladi O.C. Kwano, has said that Governor Isa Yuguda would be fondly remembered for his poverty alleviation and youth empowerment programmes.

He told newsmen on Monday in Bauchi that the establishment of the industries and agencies such as the Bauchi state Commission for Youth and Women Rehabilitation and Development (BACYWRD), Bauchi State Furniture Company, Bauchi State Recycling Plant, Cosmopolitan Cleaners Limited and Spider Webs Security, amongst others, had provided jobs for the teeming youths across the state, thereby transforming them to be useful citizens.

Kwano, who also applauded Yuguda’s administration for sponsoring students abroad to study Piloting and Aeronautic Engineering, noted that “peace can only reign in the society when the youth are empowered and rehabilitated because they can make or mar the nation.”

“Governor Isa Yuguda has performed very well in terms of poverty eradication and humanitarian projects which have contributed immensely towards improving the economic condition of the people of the state, especially the youth,” he said.
He, therefore, urged the youth to shun arrogance and greed “so that they can benefit from the gestures,” positing that redundancy and joblessness were the major factors causing the youth to indulge in political thuggery.
