Yuletide: Oyo NSCDC deploys 2,050 personnel

The Oyo state command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Wednesday announced the deployment of 2,050 of its personnel for the Christmas and New Year festivities.

The state commandant, Alhaji Iskilu Akinsanya, said this while addressing the officers on the mode of operation during the yuletide and their role in ensuring peaceful festivities.

Akinsanya urged all Christian faithful to use the festivities period to pray for the survival of Nigeria and embrace, saying love is paramount to the nation’s development.

He implored all religious leaders and well-meaning Nigerians to use the festive season to caution their congregations, children and wards to desist from any act that could threaten the peace of the state, stressing that the corps will not hesitate to arrest and prosecute anyone that indulges in violence.

The commandant tasked the people of the state to be security conscious and to report any criminal activities, suspected objects, and persons by calling the command Emergency Control Room Number: 08037149457,09070473188,08077513995.
